A Living Prototype is an early prototype that is tested out for a short period of time in a real world context. It proves early market testing for both physical prototypes or services. See ["Live Prototyping"](http://www.designkit.org/methods/18) on IDEO's DesignKit [Willem Horst and Ben Matthews](http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=2901807) define a live prototype as "an interactive prototype that permits real-time modifications to its interactivity within a collaborative session."
