In diary studies, participants are asked to keep a diary of day-to-day experiences that are relevant to the purpose of the study. Diary studies are exploratory and longitudinal, made of behavioural 'snapshots' captured over extended periods to reveal less tangible factors that can affect a user's experience. #### Related Methods [Mobile Diary Studies](https://www.thedesignexchange.org/design_methods/196), [Longitudinal Study](https://www.thedesignexchange.org/design_methods/194), [Customer Journey Mapping](https://www.thedesignexchange.org/design_methods/8), [Cultural Probes](https://www.thedesignexchange.org/design_methods/162)
